Luscious Japanese Miso Butter Chicken Thighs Dinner
Linda, keeps it simple, keeps it’s delicious - it’s her Toulouse French sausage dinner, our fish recipe is out of this world and doesn’t cost a fortune, and finally chocolate as art and drool worthy.
Hello everyone.
Here is what’s in George’s Kitchen this week.
I have a few passions in life - travelling, collecting art and cooking. And like everything you do, the longer you are it, the more adventuresome you become, at least for me.
Cooking is no exception. I am at the point - where after more than 40 years of cooking - I like to experiment.
This week I used a number of different ingredients to make a terrific sauce for my chicken thighs dinner. It involved - Miso (a Japanese ingredient) honey, rice vinegar and butter. It made for a spectacular sauce for the chicken.
Linda is a great believer that cooking does not always mean it has to involve a lot of ingredients to be tasty and delicious. Her simple sausage dinner proves her point. But to be fair the sausages are special.
Rockfish is a great fish and quite inexpensive. We bought enough for two for $3.87, salmon would have been double that. I used Panko, Japanese breadcrumbs, seasoned it with a variety of spices and herbs, making for a fantastic fish dinner.
Chocolate is a many splendoured thing. And one young French pastry chef has turned chocolate into works of art. Wait till you see them.
Photo of the week is a popular feature. This week we visit a garden.
Keep cooking.
See you next week.

Miso Butter Chicken
Chicken thighs are flavour gems - juicy, meaty - marry them with a great Japanese glaze and they make for an outstanding meal.
Linda’s Choice
For Linda cooking often means something simple, something fast, something delicious. Her French sausage dinner is in that category.
Panko Crusted Rockfish
Rockfish - sweet, firm, and inexpensive, unlike a lot of fish today. Our recipe kicked it up a notch - we used a Panko crust, adding various herbs and spices. It was super delish.

There are some people capable of doing and achieving extraordinary things. For a young pastry chef it’s all about creating, amazing, out-of-this world, razzle-dazzle chocolate deserts and sculptures.
